Jesse Bisiwu reveals the secrets of his stay at Barcelona after joining for the 2026-2027 season. The 18-year-old Belgian winger, who arrived from Club Brugge, was officially presented following the team’s pre-season camp in England in August.
How has his adaptation to Barcelona’s first team been?
Bisiwu says the training intensity at Barcelona is very high and the level is much higher than at Club Brugge. He singles out Raphinha as the player who has impressed him most, noting that the Brazilian gives 100 percent in every session. He also credits Frenkie de Jong and Jules Koundé for guiding him, highlighting that De Jong speaks Dutch and Koundé speaks French, which helps communication.

After scoring a brace in a friendly against FC Basel, where Lamine Yamal assisted his first goal, Bisiwu recently scored for Barcelona Atlètic. He is currently gaining minutes with the reserve team and is expected to join the first-team setup once documentation issues are resolved.

His parents and older sister are living with him in Barcelona and will visit regularly.
