FC Barcelona Expands Its Global Reach with New Academy in Tunisia
FC Barcelona has taken its global youth development program to a new level by opening a Barça Academy in Túnez, following the success of summer camps held there. This move comes after the club recently opened an academy in Egypt.
According to Benny Megreli, director of the Barça Academy, and Sergi Barjuan, the club’s director of sports at the academy, this agreement was formalized during a visit to the Club's offices. They were accompanied by Mr. Mohamed Ali Meddeb, who represents the local partner.
The new Barça Academy in Tunisia will be based at the Municipal Stadium of Cartago. Here, young footballers will train under the guidance of a technical director dispatched from Barcelona. This ensures that the training methods and philosophies of the club are consistently applied to all academies around the world.
Training Methods and Philosophy
The Barça Academy in Tunisia will adhere strictly to the club's renowned training methodologies, which have produced some of the best players in recent years. The focus is on developing not just technical skills but also a deep understanding of the game through tactical awareness and teamwork.
This expansion into Tunisia marks another step forward for FC Barcelona’s global youth development strategy, aiming to bring its unique approach to football to more countries and continue nurturing young talent across continents.
