The Spanish Football Federation has opened a disciplinary case against FC Barcelona for attempting to sign Julián Álvarez, the Argentine striker who currently plays for Atlético Madrid and has a contract until June 30, 2030.
The Disciplinary Committee has informed the Barça of this opening of the case, for which allegations can be presented within the time frame that the federative body facilitates for it.
On June 30, Atlético presented a complaint to FIFA and the RFEF, considering that the culé entity had pressured the 'Spider' to try to force his departure and head to Barcelona.
Since the start of the summer, the Atlético board of directors, led by Gil Marín and President Enrique Cerezo, has dealt with the siren songs of several clubs towards Álvarez, whose release clause is 500 million euros.
