Interest in Guirassy
The La Liga club has consulted Borussia Dortmund’s management about the potential acquisition of Serhou Guirassy, a 30-year-old centre-forward. According to the German newspaper Bild, the inquiry was made recently. The 30-year-old signed with the German club in 2024, coming from Stuttgart, and has a contract until 2028. Salary and release clause
Guirassy’s high salary, about €10 million per year, made the deal unviable. The wage is considered outside the market for the salary scale that Barcelona manages. Moreover, Guirassy’s release clause is set at €50 million, available only to seven major clubs in Europe, among them Barcelona.
